Lightning alert right in our backyard!

The weekend of March 2nd, we took our 33 state qualifiers to West Broward in order to compete against the best debaters Florida has to offer. Our competitors dominated at the Florida Forensic League State Tournament, winning the team award for Overall Best in the State, Best in Debate and Best in Rhetoric! It is quite clear that our team is one of the strongest out there, and that wouldn’t be  possible without the constant support from our coaches and teammates.

That being said, we thought it was wonderful to celebrate National Debate and Speech Education Day the day before States! We sent thank you cards to our teammates, performed in several classes across campus, and distributed posters describing why we love debate (pictures included below). This activity is a catalyst for personal growth and community support. Because of that, it is ensured that every single one of our competitors enter every round with the skills, passion and maturity to leave everyone in awe.

With all that in mind, join us in congratulating these amazing students and the rest of our qualifiers for their outstanding performance at FFL States:
